I got a good three hours of editing in before the coffee shop turned on (and up) country western music. I'm not a fan and needless to say, can no longer concentrate to keep hacking away at the short stories I brought with me. I guess for someone who occasionally writes using a country-fied voice, you'd think I'd be more tolerant, perhaps even embrace this music from time to time.
Not gonna happen. That would be oh-so wrong and could, one might say, bring about dire changes in the universe no one would be able to correct. Let's just hope the bleeding from my ears doesn't alarm anyone.

I like movie soundtracks myself. LOTR, Pirates of the Caribbean, Harry Potter, Once and, most recently, the soundtrack from a Midsummer Night's Dream.
I had Carmina Burana on my ipod as well, but it was toooo distracting!
Didn't you notice the angry, red hives it gave me? I nearly passed out from embarrassment when I got into my car afterward and looked in the mirror!
